Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan - III

My friend in the United States of America tells me that this is not the first time Indian films/India has been mentioned on a popular talk show, Jon Stewart and even Conan O'brian has made references to them. This piece just proves that there is someone on Stephen Colbert's staff who is an Indian and is possibly upto date on the going's on in Bollywood.

Stephen Colbert is making fun of Indian stars - just like he makes fun of any other "current affairs" related issue. So in a way that is something to take notice of, its like making fun of the Americans by saying – “oh so you think Rosie and Donald feud is the only celebrity feud that the nation cares about - look at the Amitabh Bachchan and Shahrukh Khan feud- the Indian nation cares about that feud” and in the same vein its all a joke. For e.g., if Preity Zinta is at the party how dare Amitabh Bachchan not be there like she is so important how can you not go.

Anyway do check out >

  • and search on Stephen Colbert and watch a few of the videos you'll get an idea of what its all about.
