The role of Nisha played by Karisma Kapoor in Dil To Pagal Hai (1997) [produced and directed by Yash Chopra] was first offered to Kajol, Juhi Chawla and Urmila Matondkar. All of them refused the role because it was second to Madhuri Dixit and finally it went to Karisma Kapoor. Ironically, Karisma Kapoor won the National Award [for Best Supporting Actress] for her performance in Dil To Pagal Hai.
