Farhan Akhtar and Lakshya

Farhan Akhtar has said in many interviews that the character of care free and careless Karan Shergill (prior to his joining the army) in Lakshya was based on his own life i.e., how clueless and careless he was before he realised that making films was his calling in life. Must say it came out pretty well and I am sure that lot of people would have identified with that particular syndrome at that particular age.

Personally, I thought Lakshya was a great film and had very good music by Shankar Ehsaan and Loy. I thought Hrithik Roshan's performance was top rate but Preity Zinta was strictly okay. Unfortunately, the movie did not do very well at the box office. And to top it all, I think Farhan has captured Ladakh / Leh in the most breathtaking manner. Inspite of being totally barren, it looks beautiful on the screen.

Any takers for Lakshya?
